One of the Midwest’s most popular cover bands, The Pork Tornadoes, posted a video on their TikTok that has gone viral. The short video shows the band outside in the middle of a snowstorm, acting like meteorologists reporting on the weather. It appears to be a poking fun at the hyped up media reports that usually come with big weather events like we have seen in the last couple days. Drummer Mike Schulte said, “I can’t stress this enough. We LOVE our local Iowa meteorologists. They have a thankless job and we appreciate all they do, especially in the summer when we are playing outdoor events. This video was just us having fun and it seemed to strike a chord with a lot of people.” A lot of people indeed. The video has currently been viewed over 1.7 million times on TikTok.
